Sara Malakul Lane (Thai: ซาร่า มาลากุล เลน; born 1 February 1983) is a Guam-born English-Thai actress and model who has appeared in numerous films since 2010, most notably Sharktopus (2010), Jailbait (2014) and the critically acclaimed Sun Choke (2016).
Malakul Lane was born in Guam, to an English father, Alastair Lane, and a Thai mother, Thapthim Malakul na Ayudhaya. She grew up in Asia and now lives in Los Angeles.
Malakul Lane started her acting career at the age of 15, transitioning from modelling after she won a role in her first TV series. She acted in various Thai soap operas before moving to America.
Her first role in a Hollywood film was playing Steven Seagal’s daughter in the 2003 film Belly of the Beast. She then starred in Sharktopus with Eric Roberts in 2010 and alongside Roberts and Peter Stormare in The Wayshower in 2011. Since then she has starred in a number of films for The Asylum, including 12/12/12, 100 Degrees Below Zero and Jailbait. She has 5 films due for release in 2014 and 2015.
In 2016, she will be seen as Liu, a Bangkok detective who becomes the love interest of the lead character Kurt Sloan in Kickboxer: Vengeance. She is reprising the role in the sequel, Kickboxer: Retaliation, which is currently in production in Thailand.
